The Black Rose Group was formed from the Black Rose Squad. Originally a FAII figher ace squad that rolled over to FAIII when that game was upgraded. This is a tight knit group of people from all over the world. We consider each other as family and all are welcome. We consider our group to be one of the most respected groups in the FA community. We do not tolerate fowl language or discrimination in any form and the rules are simple. Act like an adult and have fun.
The Black Rose Squadron's Emblem is based on the official squadron emblem of the RAF. The center bears our Black Rose Insignia, and the RAF squad numbers have been replaced with our BRS designation. The Latin phrase, Semper Viglio means Always Vigilant. This is original with us, in that it is not a motto used by any RAF Squadrons, to our knowledge. Webster defines being vigilant as "being watchful, on the lookout for danger, circumspect". Circumspect is defined as "looking around on all sides watchfully, cautious, and prudent" . BRS extends the meaning of "vigilant" beyond virtual combat to include our interpersonal relationships; that is to be vigilant about what we say and how we say it in our dealings with others. The only way we 'speak harshly' is with our trigger fingers or our steel rain. :-) The rose has long been a British symbol, as in the War of the Roses, and the Red and White rose. The Black Rose was chosen as our Squadron's symbol for two reasons; because it is very rare and special, as is the Black Rose Squadron, and as a romantic tribute to the British pilots of yesteryear, who so nobly defended their Island Nation.
What's Required To Get Involved?
Maybe the most important part of any group
being able to do well and have fun as a team is communications. The Black
Rose Group uses a software package called Team Speak. This gives us several
options and in turn keeps the group in constant contact with each other. Because
of the importance of this communication BRS requires anyone joining the group
to install and use the current communications package. Team Speak is Free
and BRS offers a free server for the group to use. BRS also has an open channel
available to the public. Contact us for connection information and we will email you
the connection information. While using the BRS open channel TS server you
are expected to use it only for Fighter Ace and fly the same country you find
BRS to be flying.
Interested in Joining BRS click on the Join BRS button at the top of this
page.

BRS requires its members to make it to practises which are held
on nights at 7 p.m. CST. We understand things come up and not everyone can
make every practise but would like to see everyones best effort to be there.
Our Command is voted in by the members in the group. There is no dictatorship.
Everyone is encouraged to speak out loud and things are voted on.
If you would like to have your BRS_NIC added to the contact list above please fill out the the information below and submit.
